9. Disengage the parking brake with the lever (7, Fig. E).
CAUTION!
When the parking brake is disengaged, the symbol "N" (20, Fig. H) appears. This symbol indicates that there is
some fault in the machine transport confi guration.
This condition is signalled by the rear brake lights fl ashing for 30 seconds.
10. Start sweeping, by keeping the hands on the steering wheel (2, Fig. E) and gradually pressing the pedal (4), on the front side
to move forward and on the rear side to move backward.
The drive speed can be adjusted from zero to maximum speed by increasing the pressure on the pedal.
While working, the machine picks up both light materials such as dust, paper, leaves, etc. and heavy materials such as stones,
bottles, etc.
NOTE
The suction inlet (10, Fig. G) and the brooms (8 and 9) can be lifted or lowered when the machine is moving. The brooms
do not turn when they are lifted.
Stopping the machine in working mode
1. To stop the machine release the pedal (4, Fig. E).
To stop the machine quickly, press also the brake pedal (5).
2. Engage the parking brake with the lever (7, Fig. E).
3. Turn off the dust control system water pump with the switch (19, Fig. D).
4. If open, close the dust control system valves (8 and 9, Fig. E).
5. Lift the safety fl ange (24, Fig. E), then lift the suction inlet and side brooms with the lever (12).
6. Turn off the suction fan with the lever (14, Fig. E).
7. Turn the engine throttle lever (16, Fig. E) to idle, and hold it in this position for a few minutes to let the system stabilize.
8. Check that the hopper (12, Fig. G) is lowered and that the warning light (26, Fig. D) is off.
9. Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.
10. Engage the parking brake with the lever (7, Fig. E).

MACHINE OPERATION

Avoid stopping for a long time with the machine in the same position and the brooms rotating: this could create unwanted marks on
the fl oor.
Bulky debris collection
1. To collect bulky debris, lift the front skirt (24, Fig. G) with the switch (13, Fig. E).
Note that, while the skirt is lifted, the machine suction power decreases.
To lower the front skirt (24, Fig. G), press the switch (13, Fig. E) again.
2. If necessary, to collect bulky debris, it is also possible to remove the front skirt (24, Fig. G); remove it according to the following
procedure:
• Lift the brooms, then stop the machine and turn off the engine.
• Remove the clip (1, Fig. M) and disconnect the tie rod (2) from the skirt (3).
• Remove the skirt (3) by withdrawing it from the hinges (4).
• Turn on the machine and start working again.
• Install the skirt (3) in the reverse order of removal, after stopping the machine and turning off the engine.
3. If necessary, adjust the broom speed with the knob (28, Fig. E) (optional).
NOTE
When the hopper is full, the machine cannot collect dust and debris anymore.
4. After each working cycle, and when the hopper (12, Fig. G) is full, it must be emptied. For the relevant procedure, see the next
paragraph.
