16.1. Gate rack not pre-assembled
Push the gate manually into the OPEN position.
Now place the gear rack on the drive pinion and draw the drill holes on the
gate. Then push the gate in the direction CLOSED. Always mark the drill holes
when the drive pinion is under the drill hole. This ensures that the drive pinion
always has the correct distance to
the gear rack. You can achieve the
correct distance between the drive
pinion and the gear rack if you
clamp a gear rack against it from
below.
Check the impact between
the racks.
16.2. Gate rack pre-assembled
Now push the gate manually into the OPEN position.
Loosen all the fastening screws of the gear rack. Then push the gate piece by
piece in the direction CLOSED. As soon as a fastening screw is above the drive
pinion, place the gear rack on the drive pinion by hand and tighten the respective
fastening screw.
After you have realigned all meter pieces of the gear rack, push the gate into the
desired "OPEN" position and mount a permanent magnet opposite the reed limit
switch "OPEN" (see Function and
Adjustment of the Reed Limit
Switches p.25). Then move the door
to the desired "CLOSED" position
and mount the second permanent
magnet opposite the reed limit
switch "CLOSED".
For drives with a reference switch, the magnet must be mounted on the rack
opposite the reference switch so that it passes the reference switch once during
a complete door run
