3.5. Safety instructions for competent / expert persons who are
allowed to carry out assembly, operation, maintenance, repair
and disassembly.
Assembly, maintenance, repair and disassembly of the drive must be carried
out by a competent person.
In case of failure or malfunction of the drive, a competent person must be
immediately assigned with the inspection / repair.
According to EN 12635, a skilled / competent person is a person who has
suitable training, qualified knowledge and practical experience to install, check,
maintain and repair a gate system correctly and safely. This person must also
ensure that the applicable national regulations on occupational safety as well
as regulations for the operation of electrical equipment are followed.
