b) Before Commissioning
• Switch on the helicopter first and then the transmitter. This is the only way for an attunement function
to take place between transmitter and receiver, so that your model will react reliably to the control com-
mands of your transmitter.
• Check the functional safety of the model and remote control system. Watch out for any visible damage
such as defective plug connections or damaged cables. All moving parts on the model must run smoothly
but must not have any tolerance in the bearing.
• The flight battery required for operation, which is firmly installed in the model helicopter, must be charged
before operation via the transmitter. Ensure that the batteries in the transmitter have a sufficient remain-
ing capacity (transmitter indication). If the batteries are empty, always replace the complete set, never
individual cells only.
c) During Operation
• Do not take any risks when operating the product! Your own safety and that of your environment depends
completely on your responsible use of the model.
• Improper operation can cause serious damage to people and property! Therefore make sure to keep a
sufficiently safe distance from persons, animals or objects during operation.
• Never try catching a flying helicopter with your hand and keep body parts and hair away from turning
parts such as rotors or gears.
• Fly your model only if your ability to respond is unrestricted. The influence of tiredness, alcohol or medi-
cation can cause incorrect responses.
• Artificial light sources or strong solar irradiation may impair transmission of the IR control signals and
clearly reduce the remote control range (usually approx. 10 m).
• Motors, motor regulator and flight battery can heat during operation. For this reason, take a break of 5 to
10 minutes before recharging the flight battery.
• Leave the remote control (transmitter) switched on while the model is in operation. After landing, always
switch off the helicopter before the remote control.
• Never switch off the transmitter while the helicopter is still switched on.
• Never expose your model or the remote control to direct sunlight or excessive heat for an extended
period of time.
