CHLORIDE LINEAR Plus/RM
• Emergency Power Off (ESD) input is located on the rear of the unit (see
Fig. 9 on page EN-24 to Fig. 11 on page EN-25). When this connection
is open, the logic circuit will immediately shut down the UPS output.
• In order that the wiring installation safety comply to the European
Harmonized Document HD384-4-46 S1, an Emergency Switching
Device (E.S.D.) shall be fitted downstream of the UPS.
• Maintenance bypass switch (in Linear Plus only) is for the use of service
personnel only. It is located under the rear cover. Open the safety cover
to operate the maintenance bypass switch.
• Linear Plus 10 kVA can be connected either to 3 phase mains or 1 phase
mains. Therefore the right input terminals have to be connected (see
"Connecting mains and load" on page EN-23). The UPS autosensing
mode ensures that it adapts to the connected mains supply.
Further safety notes for 19 inch rackmounts (RM):
• When mounting the unit into a cubicle, it has to be hooked on both
sides and the front plate of the unit has to be fixed to the cubicle by
screws. The unit has to be fixed in horizontal position.
• Do not connect
- more than 3 battery extensions Rackmount BP 6 kVA to the Linear
Plus RM 6 KVA.
- more than 4 battery extensions Rackmount BP 10 kVA to the Linear
Plus RM 10 KVA.
• The vents for air intake and outlet at the front and rear side must not be
obstructed.
• The sum of the leakage currents (protective conductor current) of the
UPS and the connected devices exceeds 3.5 mA. Earth connection of
the unit is essential before connecting supply.
• Linear Plus RM 6 KVA is equipped with additional safety relays, that
protect the input terminals in special cases.

The supply to the load may be interrupted by opening all the switches or
by turning the Maintenance Switch to position "OFF" (rear of the UPS).
DO NOT USE WATER to extinguish any fires that may occur in the area
in which the UPS is installed.
