Parallel system, installation and operating
First step
Ensure, that the mains supply distribution is switched OFF.
Ensure that all the mains1/mains2 input breakers are switched to "OFF" on
all UPSs. Mains 2 breaker is available on Linear Plus 6kVA and 10 kVA only.
All terminals, breakers and plugs of UPS can be found the respective rear
panels of UPS/batteries. Related figures:
Linear Plus see Fig. 9 on page EN-24, and Fig. 11 on page EN-25
LinearPlusRM 6 kVA and 10kVA see Fig. 12 on page EN-26.
Second step
Remove jumper from Parallel Terminals (S1, S2) of the UPS terminal block,
then connect the input terminals of all UPS blocks to the mains distribution.
Next, connect the UPS output terminals to the load distribution.
Third step
Dismantle cover of the parallel port of all parallel devices for linking between
the UPS, use the 25 pin standard control cable to connect to one of the
parallel ports (the cable is supplied with the UPS).
Parallel UPS are connected in line, not in a circle. I.e: 2 cables connect 3 UPS
units, 1 cable connects 2 UPS.
Fourth step
- Close all the parallel UPS input breakers (2 breakers for LinearPlus, 1
breaker for LinearPlusRM) of all parallel UPSs then
- close the mains distribution switch, all bypass indicators illuminate
simultaneously.
LinearPlus only: press the "MENU" button, select submenu "Control" and
press "OK", select submenu "Turn UPS ON/OFF" and press "OK", the
LCD displays "Turn UPS to ONLINE" then press "OK", the UPS system is
now waiting in bypass mode (see Fig. 19 on page EN-36).
Now please close Output switch of UPS.
LinearPlusRM only: Wait for at least 30 seconds until the output voltage has
stabilized (yellow LED illuminated). Press the button
panel for a minimum of 1 second to switch on the inverter (see "Panel
Linear Plus RM" on page EN-43).
