Electrical preparations
During installation the Input source must be isolated and secured against
the possibility of being reconnected. The Input miniature circuit breaker
located at the rear side must be in "OFF" position.
Remove the recharging cable. Connect the UPS acc. "Installation" on page
EN-16.
Mechanical fixing of 19 inch units
Selection of the mounting location
The units of the Linear Plus RM and its battery racks are designed
to be mounted horizontal in 19-inch cubicles. When installing the
units please consider the weight, especially of the battery extension.
Preferably the units should be installed in the lower section of the
cubicle. UPS systems consisting of several components must be
installed so that the battery extensions are mounted in the lower
section and the UPS rack directly above them.
The units must be secured in the cubicle on both sides. In the cubicle a pair
of separate rails/angles has to be there on both sides (rails/angles are not
part of delivery RM UPS resp. RM battery). When using the UPS attached
mounting rails (see Fig. 6 below), the single unit can easily be inserted into
a 3HU mounting space. In order to secure the unit in the horizontal position,
the front-plate has to be secured to the 19-inch cubicle at the indicated
points on both sides of the unit. It is not permissible to secure the unit only
at the front-plate. This may damage the unit and/or other mounted units.
