8.4.4
Bleeding Settings
Fig. 8.22
Overview
In the menu BLEEDING SETTINGS the bleeding thresholds W+ and W- can be
set.
W+ describes the conductivity value, which, if exceeded for a long period (approx. 30 sec.)
activates the bleeding relais (in negative indication direction). The bleeding threshold W+
has to be between the bleeding threshold W- and the upper alarm limit.
W- indicates the conductivity value that, when in consistent shortfall (approx. 30 sec.) again
deactivates the bleeding relay (in negative indication direction). The bleeding threshold W-
has to be between the lower alarm limit and the bleeding threshold W+.
1. The access to the BLEEDING-SETTINGS is accomplished described in chapter: 8.4.1.
2. Pressing the „Enter-Key ↵" brings you to the level: BLEEDING W+
If in the level BLEEDING TRESHOLD W+ no changes are desired, then it can be
skipped by pressing the „NEXT-Key" to go directly to BLEEDING W-. In order to change
the bleeding threshold, enter the first of the four digits by pressing
press the Enter-Key ↵. Then the second field will flash. The following digits are to be
entered analogously. Press the NEXT-Key to confirm.
3. The display switches to BLEEDING TRESHOLD W-.
If on the level BLEEDING W- no changes are desired, then by pressing the „NEXT-Key"
you can go directly to CONTR. DIRECTION. In order to select the controlling direction
positive or negative, press
4. Press the NEXT-Key to exit settings.
The display returns to BLEEDING SETTINGS
The effective direction of the bleeding regulator can be inverted with the controlling
direction. A bleeding regulator does normally have a negative effective direction
(measuring value is lowered by regulator action). This value can be converted to positive.
The potential-free contact for the bleeding regulator is activated if the bleeding threshold
falls short of W- and deactivated if the bleeding threshold W+ is exceeded.
