Pre-circulation (only in Art. No. 255166)

Communication between CoolPROTECT and the circulation pump is integrated in order to
prevent biocide metering from taking place without circulation running.
If the timer has a pending biocide metering, first a check will be done to determine whether
there is a circulation pump running message present (contact between terminal 18/19
closed / release).
If there is no release present, the control for the circulation pump is activated (terminal
53/54 normally open contact, terminal 53/55 normally closed contact). Afterwards, it will be
checked again if there is a running message of the circulation pump present on the
terminals 18/19.
If the release is now available, the defined pre-circulation time first elapses (see Chapter
8.4.5 Biocide Settings, sub-menu 'Pre-Circulation') and then biocide metering begins. After
the biocide metering time and residence time have elapsed (see Chapter
Settings, sub-menu 'Biocide Metering Time or Tracking Time'), control of the circulation
pump is deactivated again.
If there is no response after activation of the circulation pump at release input, after the
time period has elapsed (see chapter
interruption) the alarm "Biocide interruption exceeded" will be shown in the display.
If the release contact (terminal 18/19) is bridged, the pre-circulation is stopped.

Release contact

With the release contact (terminal 18/19 normally open contact), the control functions of the
device are linked with an external condition (e.g. circulation pump must be switched on).
The release always must be on because with open release contacts will block all control
outputs are blocked.
If the release is taken away and one of the following functions (circulation control, bleeding,
biocide metering) is currently active, this means:
Pre-circulation
The pre-circulation time is reset and a new activation of the circulation follows over terminal
53/54/55.
If the release contact does not close again by a previously set time (see chapter 8.4.6,
Alarm control setup, subsection "max. Biocide interruption"), the alarm "Biocide interrupt
exceeded" will be displayed.
If the release signal fails repeatedly, after the given number of pre-circulation starts (see
chapter 8.4.6,
the pre-circulation will be aborted and "ALARM pre-circulation starts" will be displayed.
Bleeding:
The control of the salting valve is blocked (salting valve closes).
Biocide metering
The biocide metering is stopped; the metering time is interrupted and continued when the
release contact closes again.
If the release contact does not close again by a previously set time (see" chapter 8.4.6,
Alarm control setup, subsection "max. Biocide interruption"), a complete abort of biocide
metering results and alarm "Biocide interrupt exceeded" will be displayed.
The tracking time after the biocide metering is not interrupted by opening the release
contact.
