Preparing the torque and angle wrench
 Sufficient freedom of movement must be available
for the user.
 The operating location must be sufficiently bright.

 The operating temperature must be –10 °C to
+40 °C.
 Prior to use, the torque and angle wrench must be
able to adapt to the climatic conditions during
subsequent use for at least one hour.
 The torque and angle wrench must be protected
against harmful influences caused e.g. by soiling
or moisture.
The menu language set on delivery is German.
 To change the menu language, proceed as

described from page 38.

Inserting batteries

Make sure that the current supply for the torque and
angle wrench is guaranteed. The following battery
or rechargeable battery types may be used:
 Mignon batteries AA/LR6, 1.5 V.
 Mignon NiMH rechargeable batteries AA/R6,
1.2 V

CAUTION
Danger due to exploding rechargeable
batteries.
 Use the correct charger to charge
each of the rechargeable battery
types.
The catch shows an arrow mark. When the tip of

the arrow points to the "UNLOCK" mark, the cover
can be removed from the battery compartment.

 Turn the catch counter-clockwise using a
screwdriver or a coin.
 Remove the cover.
 Insert the rechargeable batteries or batteries,
observing the polarity specified in the handle.
 Place the cover onto the battery compartment as
shown.
 Press the cover on gently.
 Turn the catch clockwise using a screwdriver or a
coin until the tip of the arrow points to the "LOCK"
mark.

Selecting inserts and plug-in tools

WARNING
Risk of injury due to an incorrectly set
extension length.
 Make sure that the extension length
appropriate to the plug-in tool is set
on the torque and angle wrench.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to unsuitable inserts
and plug-in tools.
 Use only inserts or plug-in tools
whose form and design are suitable
for the intended use.
Preparing the torque and angle wrench
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to exceeding the
maximum load-bearing capability of
the inserts and plug-in tools.
 Make sure that you do not exceed
the maximum load-bearing capability
of the inserts and plug-in tools.
The maximum load-bearing capability of the inserts
and plug-in tools may be lower than the maximum
permissible torque of the torque and angle wrench.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to incorrectly
mounted plug-in tools.
 Make sure that the plug-in tools are
secured against pulling out by
engaging the retaining pin.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to internally
manufactured special tools.
 Only manufacture special tools in
consultation with the manufacturer.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to unsuitable plug-in
tools.
 Use only plug-in tools recommended
by the manufacturer.

ATTENTION
Damage to the measuring elements of
the torque and angle wrench possible.
 Protect the torque and angle wrench
e.g. against hard jolts or dropping.
Make sure of the following when using inserts with a
square drive on the torque and angle wrench:
 The correct shape and size for the exchange
system on the torque and angle wrench
 The correct shape and size of the inserts for
connection to the threaded connection to be
tightened

Installing and removing plug-in tools

Proceed as follows to install plug-in tools:
 Insert the plug-in tool into the recessed square on
the wrench head.
The spring-loaded retaining pin on the plug-in tool's
QuickRelease safely lock is depressed due to the
insertion chamfer.
 Continue pressing the plug-in tool to stop.
 Make sure that the retaining pin engages in the
QuickRelease safety lock's detent hole.
 Check that the plug-in tool is seated securely.
