––– STEP 6 –––
6.1 - INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION OF THE CON-
TROL UNIT
01. Choose the installation location in an area protected from possible
impacts and close to the gate in order to reduce the length of the
cables;
02. Remove the cover by prying with a screwdriver on the opening at the
bottom; slide it a few centimetres at a time and then lift it up from the
bottom(fig. 21);
03. Prepare the duct for electrical cable passage so that they can enter
from the lower part of the control unit;
04. Drill a hole in the bottom of the control unit and use suitable fitting to
affix the cable passage ducts, as shown in fig. 22;
05. Breach the two holes at the bottom with a screwdriver; mark the drill-
ing points using the bottom as reference;
06. Drill the holes in the wall using a hammer drill fitted with a 6 mm bit
and insert the 6 mm screw anchors;
07. Secure the bottom with the relative screws (fig. 23);
08. Connect the electrical cable to the gearmotors. Remove the
gearmotor cover (fig. 25), loosen the grommet located beneath the
gearmotor (fig. 24), route the electrical cable, carrying out the electri-
cal connections in the order of the colours shown in fig. 26, firmly
close the grommet and and gearmotor cover; repeat the operation
for the 2 gearmotors;
09. Connect the gearmotors cable as shown in fig 20.
To facilitate connection operations, you can remove the terminals, as
shown in fig. 29 - [A]. Remember that in order to avoid the risk of
the two leaves colliding, the CL2WS command unit first commands
the motor connected to the M2 output to open, and then the motor
connected to M1, whilst during closing, the reverse happens. Then,
make sure that the (outer) terminal M1 is connected the motor that
drives the leaf resting on the mechanical stop, and terminal M2 to the
top leaf. If you are using only one motor, gate with only one leaf, con-
nect it to terminal M2, leaving terminal M1 free. After having made the
connections, insert the terminals back into their dedicated seats;
10. Make the electrical connection for the KS100 key selector switch
(optional accessory), where present. See fig. 27.
The grey terminals (open) and red (stop) of the selector switch are
connected respectively to the grey (open) and red (stop) terminals of
the control unit. You do not need to observe any polarity for the con-
nection.
