Disposal

This chapter includes all the information required for the dis-
posal of machine components, lubricants and consumables.
The disposal of machine compo-

trained and qualified personnel
or by special companies commis-
sioned to carry out the disposal.
Always ensure that disposal is
made in accordance with the
environmental regulations.
11.1

Disposal of old oil

The disposal of used engine oil must be made in accordance
with the regional, national and local laws and regulations.
The classification of waste is the responsibility of the operator
and depends on the substances which soil the old oil. If there
is no in-company disposal system for old oil, commission a
professional disposal company. Always ensure that no oil
can enter the environment.

Disposal of oil bearing parts and equipment
soiled by oil
Engine oils based on mineral
NOTE
oils are hazardous for water.
If petrol, diesel or engine oil
penetrates the soil, this can lead
to groundwater contamination
and the penetration of hazardous
substances into the food chain.
– Always collect engine oil in
special containers.
– Always dispose of old oil in the
appropriate manner.

After disassembly allow oil bearing parts to thoroughly
drain and then clean.
2.
In this process collect the escaping engine oil in a
special container and dispose of separately.
3.
Dispose of the used cleaning materials separately as
equipment soiled by oil.
4.
Dispose of metal parts where the oil has been removed
as old metal.
5.
Dispose of all non-metal parts soiled by oil and grease
of the machine and all other waste soiled by oil
separately as equipment soiled by oil.

Disposal of old metal

The disposal of the machine includes disposal of old metal.
Information on appropriate disposal centers can be obtained
from the respective communal authority.
