The machine may only be operated with original replacement
and wear parts. The maintenance manual includes a list of
the available replacement and wear parts. The replacement
and wear parts can be procured from each company of the
Goldschmidt Thermit Group. There is a list of all the group

Storage

This chapter describes the most important information for
the storage of the machine, its components and spare parts.
Storage conditions
Always observe the following storage conditions:
– Storage temperature: 15 – 25° C,
– Relative air humidity: 40 – 60 %,
– UV light-protected environment,
– Ozone-free ambient conditions (no fluorescent light
sources, mercury-vapor lamps, copiers, etc.),
– Store on a pallet or rack (do not store directly on the
floor or directly next to the wall in order to avoid
the transfer of moisture),
– Do not store immediately next to a heating system or
other source of heat in order to avoid material defor-
mation,
– Store in a dust-free condition (use dust protection),
– Do not remove rust protection (e.g. oil film on untreated
steel parts).
Storage of plastic parts
The influence of chemicals, solvents, oils and grease on plastic
can result in surface haze, expansion, decomposition and to a
long-term change of the mechanical characteristics. Therefore
always check the condition of plastic parts in particular after
a long period of storage and replace as required or contact
the service department of Goldschmidt Thermit GmbH.
