Hoist XA 2050 with overload shut-off
Danger of severe accidents! Danger of being injured by
falling objects!
The XA 2050 P hoist may not be operated via the control lever
on the hoist. The control valve on the hoist disables the load
limiting device (in the pushing system on the hoist).
Remove the control lever after completing the installation.

Commissioning

ATTENTION!
Incorrect load anchoring!
Damage to the equipment may occur!
The load must not be directly attached to the towing rope.
Use a wedge clamp and an anchorage rope to anchor
the load.
Determining operational readiness
Check the rope anchoring.
Check the anchoring of the hoist, deflector rollers and the
load.
Check whether the rope enters the hoist vertically.
Inspect the hoses and the cable-strain relievers.
Record the inspection results in the logbook.
Functional test
Danger of being injured by falling objects!
Never stand beneath suspended loads.
Cordon off the dangerous area whenever necessary.
Move all of the control levers UP and DOWN and release.
The control levers must always move easily.
The control levers must immediately return to their initial po-
sition.
Risk of injury caused by malfunctions!
If a control lever is difficult to move or remains in place when
pressed:
Do not use the hoist!
Have the controller inspected and repaired by authorized
maintenance personnel.

Incorrect rope lengths!
Damage to the equipment may occur!
The rope connection and/or the load bearing point must not
be pulled into the hoist housing or into the deflection roller!
Monitor the rope during operation.
Use a rope with adequate length.
Only load load lifting equipment with the permissible load.
Switch the hoist over to the pulling direction until the rope is
under tension.
Run the hoist in the pulling direction until the load lifting
equipment is raised or pulled.
Check the pressure on the pressure regulation valve while
the hoist is running:
Setpoint: 6 bar.
Stop the hoist - release the control lever:
The control lever must automatically jump back to the mid-
dle position.
The control air must switch off.
The brake must hold the rope tight.
Let down or release load.
Stop the hoist - release the control lever:
The control lever must automatically jump back to the mid-
dle position.
The control air must switch off.
The brake must hold the rope tight.
Trigger the limit switch manually or through movement when
raising the load:
The control air must be shut-off.
The brake must hold the rope tight.
Check the function of all other limit switches by running the
hoist or by manually triggering them.
Record the inspection results in the logbook.

Operating /Operation

Personnel must have been trained by the operator in operating
the unit and be authorized to use it.
After an extended downtime the motor must be oiled before be-
ing put back into operation, see ' 15.3 Care and maintenance,
Hoist' on page 17.

10.1 Checks before starting work

Check the rope anchoring.
Check the rope for clinging dirt and clean if necessary.
Check the anchoring of the hoist, deflector rollers and the
load.
