In normal cases, it is not necessary to change the transmission
oil.
ATTENTION!
Incorrect transmission oil!
Damage to the gearbox due to insufficient lubrication.
Use only the lubricants specified in the table.
Synthetic oil and mineral oil may not be mixed!
Thoroughly and repeatedly flush the gearbox with the
new oil type when changing the oil type.
Change the oil drain plug to correspond with the new oil
type (socket head screw: mineral oil; hexagon head
screw: synthetic oil).

Safety equipment

Load limiting device
The load limiting device switches off automatically if the hoist is
overloaded. When delivered, the load limiting device is set up for
temporary personnel lifting equipment in such a way that it deac-
tivates the hoist, at the latest, when the load reaches 1.25 times
the load bearing capacity.
For stationary personnel lifting equipment the load limiting device
must be set by the system manufacturer / operator to 1.25 times
the actual load of the personnel lifting equipment, see 'Adjusting
the load limiting device' on page 18.
Spring-applied brake
The spring-applied brake closes automatically when the control
lever is released or the compressed air supply fails.
UP limit switch/Emergency limit switch (end valve)
The path of the hoist must be limited by one or multiple limit
switches, so that the upward movement is stopped. Depending
on the system in which the hoist is installed, the downward
movement should also be stopped.
Rope end deactivation/DOWN limit switch (optional)
A limit switch is used to monitor the free reeler. The rope limit
switch runs through a rope clamp and prevents the rope from
running completely off of the free reeler and therefore also limits
the hoist's lifting path.
Emergency-Off/Emergency-Stop function:
The hoist can be stopped in dangerous situations by releasing
the control lever (middle position) or closing the ball valve on the
maintenance unit.

Anchoring

The hoist can be anchored with and without an adapter (see pos.
C in Fig. 4 on page IX).
Anchoring without adapter: At least 2 screws with a minimum
strength class of 8.8 with self-locking nuts.
Anchoring with adapter: 2 screws with a minimum strength class
of 8.8 with self-locking nuts.
Bolts that have at least the same strength and a similar quality
for securing can be used instead of the screws.
See also ' 9.3 Assembly' on page 9.
Operation and Installation Manual
The control lever jumps to the mid-
dle position. The compressed air
supply is interrupted.
