When closed, verify that the two internal tubes are a little under the edge of the probe output as
shown in the image below.
To ensure that the device is functioning correctly after reassembling the probe, a compliance
calibration should be run.

11.2 Otoacoustic emission probe maintenance

Before using the probe, make sure it is clean and its transparent plastic tip is totally free from ear wax
residues to prevent blockages.
To clean the probe proceed as follows:
1. Remove the front part of the probe by slightly
widening the two plastic clips placed on the sides.
2. Remove the front part of the probe by slightly
widening the two plastic clips placed on the sides.
3. Pull out the transparent part of the tip.
4. Clean the 3 tip channels using the supplied cleaning
tool.
