5. Open Bluetooth devices management feature.
6. Wait until your PC detects the device. This may take several minutes. When finished, an
icon showing the serial number of the device to be associated will be displayed.
7. Check that the serial number displayed corresponds to the one on the device identification
label. If it matches, press the icon on screen to complete the association.
8. The unit will generate a PASSCODE which you will see displayed on the screen.
9. The PASSCODE will be displayed on the PC screen, too.
10. If the two codes are the same, press the confirm button on the unit first and then on the
PC.
11. When this process is finalized, the unit is associated.
As an alternative, data can be transferred via cable through the unit mini USB port. If
you choose this option be aware that by connecting a Personal Computer to a Medical
Device you create a system which, if used in a patients' area need to comply with all
safety requirements. In case the R16M is connected to other devices equipped with
their own external power supplies, the compliance of the whole system to the IEC
60601-1 standard needs to be verified under the technician's connecting the units
responsibility. In case insulation devices are used, they have to comply with the IEC
60601-1 standard. Each person connecting an R16M to other external units creates a
system and is held responsible for the compliance of the system itself to the IEC 60601-
1 standard.
