3. Intended use

This weather station is designed to display a range of weather readings, such as the indoor/outdoor temperature,
precipitation and wind speed/direction. The maximum and minimum readings for each day are saved automatically.
The weather station also measures the atmospheric pressure and plots the pressure trend. This information is used to
produce a weather forecast, which is displayed using weather symbols. The measured data is transmitted wirelessly
from the outdoor sensor. The date and time are set automatically using the Network Time Protocol (NTP). You can
also set the date and time manually (e.g. if there is a network connection problem). The weather station connects
to the Internet via a smartphone app. A list of all features and functions can be found in chapter 5 ("Features and
functions"). The weather station (display unit) can be powered via battery or the power adapter provided. The outdoor
sensor is battery-powered and features a solar cell, which can store enough energy to power the sensor for 7 hours.
The display unit is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must
be avoided under all circumstances. The outdoor sensor has an IPX4 protection rating and is designed for outdoor
use.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product for purposes
other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can cause hazards such
as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available
to third parties only together with its operating instructions.
