b) Installation of the Thermo/Hygro Sensor
The thermo/hygro sensor can be attached to the wall, e.g. on a nail, screw or hook
using an opening on the rear.
The thermo/hygro sensor is suitable to be used in a protected outdoor
area. It should be placed so that it is not subject to direct solar irradiation,
because temperature measurement will otherwise be incorrect. Precipita-
tion on the thermo/hygro sensor also leads to incorrect temperature meas-
urement because the casing cools off.
We therefore recommend careful selection of the site of installation (e.g. the North side of a building) for the
outdoor sensor to measure the correct temperature.
At initial commissioning and installation outdoors, you must wait up to one hour before the thermo/hygro
sensor will have adjusted to the ambience conditions and is able to send correct measured values.
When attaching a nail, hook or screw, make sure that you do not damage any cables/lines.
Never immerse or submerge the outdoor sensor in water; it would be destroyed!
Do not put or lay the thermo/hygro sensor onto any surface, since water may enter through the openings
of the humidity sensor at the bottom. Always attach the thermo/hygro sensor to a vertical wall.
c) Setup/Installation of the Basis Station
The basis station can be put on the wall using an opening in the rear and a nail, screw or hook.
When attaching a nail, hook or screw, make sure that you do not damage any cables/lines.
Alternatively, you can insert the enclosed foot on the rear of the basis station. Then put the basis station onto a level,
stable surface. Protect valuable furniture surfaces from scratches with suitable pads.
Select a location as operating site for the basis station that is not in the sun or next to a radiator. This will
falsify the temperature or humidity display.
Do not place the basis station next to any other electronic devices (e.g. TV, computer, etc.) or other devices
with 433 MHz technology. This may cause interferences when receiving the signals from the wind sensor
and the thermo/hygro sensor.
For this reason, also keep a distance from electrical lines, metal objects, energy saving lamps, etc.
