8. Commissioning

First insert batteries into the wind sensor and the thermo/hygro sensor, and only then into the basis station.
The devices should be at a distance of no more than 1 m from each other.
You can also in the reverse order. In this case, however, it is possible that the basis station will not find the
sensors when you take too long to insert the batteries. Then start the sensor scan manually, see chapter
10. a).
a) Wind sensor
• Open the wind sensor.
For this, unscrew the bottom with the wind speed sen-
sor (turn left counter-clockwise).
• Remove the battery compartment lid (33) above the
battery compartment; pull it out.
• Insert two type AA/Mignon batteries in the battery
compartment in the correct polarity (observe plus/+
and minus/-). The respective polarity is indicated in
the battery compartment.
A small button (34, the small triangular metal platelet) at the battery compartment serves to send out a data
package with the measuring data.
This way, you can accelerate registration while the basis station performs its sensor search (e.g. for a func-
tion test before installation).
• Close the wind sensor again. Put on the bottom and screw it on (turn counter-clockwise to the right). Do not use any
force for this! Ensure that the sealing ring in the bottom is not damaged.
b) Thermo/hygro sensor
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the thermo/hygro sensor. For this, turn out the two little screws of
the battery compartment lid with a suitable small cross-heat screwdriver. Then the battery compartment lid can be
taken off.
• Set a transmission channel (1, 2 or 3) with the slider (27).
The basis station can be operated with up to three thermo/hygro sensors, one is enclosed; up to two more
can be ordered as accessories.
If you only have one thermo/hygro sensor, always select transmission channel 1.
If you operate several thermo/hygro sensors, you need to set each of them to a different transmission chan-
nel.
Ensure that the desired transmission channel is always chosen before insertion of the batteries.
• Insert two batteries of the type AAA/Micro with correct polarity into the battery compartment of the thermo/hygro
sensor (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
