9. COMMISSIONING

a) Outdoor Sensor Commissioning
Open the battery compartment at the back of the outdoor sensor by turning
out the screw (18) and then removing the battery compartment lid (17).
Pick one of the 3 transmission channels with the slider (21).
If more than one outdoor sensor are operated, every outdoor sensor must
have a different channel number (1, 2 or 3).
When operating only a single outdoor sensor, always set the channel to "1".
The channel setting always has to be made before inserting the batteries;
otherwise, the transmission channel is not switched.
Insert two batteries of the type AAA/micro with correct polarity into the battery
compartment (22) of the outdoor sensor (observe plus/+ and minus/-). The
respective illustration is located in the battery compartment.
For a short moment, all display elements appear on the integrated LC display of
the outdoor sensor; them the temperature is displayed. The transmission channel
set (1, 2 or 3) is also shown on the left of the display.
Use the button "°C/°F" (23) to choose the desired display unit °C (degrees Cel-
sius) or °F (degrees Fahrenheit).
The setting applies only for the outdoor sensor display.
Before closing the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor, take the basis
station into operation.
When the basis station has started search for the available outdoor sensors
(one is included in the scope of delivery, two more can be ordered as
accessories), briefly push the button "TX" (24).
This will cause a data package with the temperature to be sent to the basis
station. The basis station recognises the available outdoor sensors more
quickly.
Close the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor.
Proceed accordingly for other outdoor sensors.
