19. HANDLING

Observe all safety information in these operating instructions!
a) General Information
This product is not a toy and not suitable for children.
The product must not be opened or disassembled (except for the battery change
described in these operating instructions).
The product contains no parts that require maintenance by you. Opening/
disassembly will also cause the approval (CE) and warranty/guarantee to lapse.
Even dropping from a low height will damage the product.
b) Basis Station
Avoid the following adverse ambience conditions when operating the basis station:

Dampness or high humidity
—
Extreme cold or heat
—
Direct solar irradiation
—
Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
—
Strong vibration
—
Strong magnetic fields as present near machines or loudspeakers
Never use the product immediately after it was taken from a cold into a warm
environment. The condensation generated may destroy the product. Wait until the
product has cooled down to room temperature. This may take several hours!
Choose the site of setup or assembly so that the basis station stands securely and
cannot fall. The high weight otherwise poses danger of injury.
Valuable or sensitive furniture surfaces should be protected from damage with a
suitable cover before putting on the basis station.
c) Outdoor Sensor
The outdoor sensor is suitable to be used in a protected outdoor area. However,
always avoid direct splashing, e.g. with a garden hose or other watering system.
Never operate the outdoor sensor in or under water; it would be destroyed by this.
Install the outdoor sensor so that it is vertical/upright and the LC display points up.
