3.6 Scope of delivery
• Submersible motor with cable (2 m or 2.5 m,
depending on the version)
• Installation and operating instructions
4 Transportation and storage
4.1 Delivery
On receiving the consignment, check immediately
that this is complete and undamaged. If any parts
are damaged or missing, the transport company
or the manufacturer must be notified on the day
of delivery since claims cannot be made after-
wards.
Damage to parts must be noted on the freight
documentation.

4.2 Transport
The motor can be carried if the local occupational
safety and health guidelines permit this. Ensure
that the correct posture is adopted when doing
so!
If the preconditions for carrying the motor are
not met, only the appropriate and approved
lifting gear, transportation and hoisting gear may
be used. This equipment must have sufficient
bearing capacity to enable the motor/unit to be
transported safely. When using chains, these are
to be secured against slipping.
The personnel must be qualified for the tasks and
must follow all applicable national safety regula-
tions during the work.
The products are delivered by the manufacturer or
the supplier in suitable packaging. This normally
precludes the possibility of damage occurring
during transportation and storage. Store the
packaging safely for reuse if the product is fre-
quently used at different locations.
4.3 Storage
Newly supplied motors are prepared so that they
can be stored for at least 1 year. The motor should
therefore be stored in the original packaging until
the time of installation. The motor or entire unit
should be cleaned thoroughly before it is put into
temporary storage!
Observe the following for storage:
• Place the motor securely on a firm bearing surface
and secure it to prevent tipping over and sliding.
Submersible motors can be stored vertically or
horizontally.
DANGER due to risk of falling over!
Never set down the motor without it being
secured. There is a risk of injury if the motor
falls over.
