Before putting the device into service, the protective ele­
ments must be switched on.
f Open the inspection window (1).

position, or to the green display (3) (dependent on the
protective element).

Risk of electric shock due to damaged device
Use of a damaged device may result in electric shock.
f Do not use the device if it is damaged.
f Mark the damaged device to ensure that no one uses it.
f Have a qualified electrician rectify the damage immedi­
ately.

Danger in potentially explosive atmospheres.
There may be flammable liquids, gases or dust present in
potentially explosive atmospheres. These can ignite due
to sparks and cause fires or explosions.
f Do not use the device in potentially explosive atmos­
pheres.

Insufficient or missing fuse – risk of injury due to electric
shock
f Only use the device outdoors if the device or the
supplying socket is fused via a suitable residual current
device.
f In case of doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
f For commissioning, observe the requirements for the
electrical installation.
