2.2 Intended use

The device on hand is a mobile receptacle combination.
The device is provided solely for the distribution and
control of electrical energy.
The mobile receptacle combination is intended for use in
indoor and weatherproof outdoor locations.
Any use other than described is not permitted.
The owner / operator is responsible for the intended and
safe use.

2.3 Improper use

Using the device is safe only when used as intended. Any
other use as well as changes to the device are improper
use and therefore not permitted.
The device is not intended for use as a stationary device
(e.g. wall­mounting) and must not be used as such.
MENNEKES Elektrotechnik GmbH & Co. KG accepts no
liability for any consequences arising from improper use of
the device.

2.4 Basic safety information

For your own safety, please carefully read and comply
with the following safety information before using the
device.
Personal safety
f Before using the device, carefully read all the informa­
tion provided in this manual.
f Persons under the influence of drugs, alcohol or other
intoxicating substances must not use the device.
f Avoid tripping hazards (e.g. due to cables lying
around). Do not place the device on traffic routes.
Supervisory duties
Persons, especially children, who are not fully able to
assess potential hazards, and animals can be injured
while handling the device.
f The device is not a toy ­ keep children and pets away
from it.
Do not open the device
The device contains electrical components that carry
high voltage. Improper handling, especially in connection
with moisture, of the opened enclosure can cause severe
injury of persons by electric shock.
f Never open the device if you are an electrical layman.
Only a qualified electrician may open the device.
Do not manipulate or misuse the device
f Do not make changes to the device.
f Do not use the device as a climbing aid. Do not sit or
climb on the device.
