9.2 Cleaning

The device can be cleaned with a dry or a damp cloth.
However, cleaning with a dry cloth at regular intervals is
recommended to prevent stubborn dirt on the surfaces.
Never use compressed air for cleaning purposes, because
inhalation of whirled up dust and dirt can have harmful
health effects.

9.2.1 Cleaning with a dry cloth

The device contains electrical components that carry high
voltage. Improper handling will cause severe injury to per­
sons by electric shock.
f Disconnect the device from the power supply.
f Close all protective devices (e. g. inspection window,
hinged covers for sockets).
f Clean only outside of the device ­ do not open the
device!
Disconnect the device from the power supply.

For dry cleaning, a brush with soft bristles and a clean cloth
can be used.
Procedure:
f Remove any existing dust and soil with a brush first.
f Use a clean cloth to wipe off the device.

Remove dust and dirt first by using a brush with soft bris­
tles.
For wet cleaning, we recommend using clean water, with­
out any cleaning agents, and a clean cloth.

f Do not use running water and ensure that water cannot
reach live parts.
f Do not use compressed air or high­pressure
cleaning equipment.
f Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals.
Procedure:
f Remove any existing dust and soil with a brush first.
f Use water to moisten the clean cloth and thoroughly
wipe off the device.
f Then wipe dry with a clean cloth.
