2.4 Filter system

There are a total of three filters integrated in the Suprasorb
the Suprasorb
CNP P3 device and two external filters in the exudate pouch.
®
The external charcoal/bacterial filter in the exudate pouch prevents oversuction. Draining stops
when the exudate pouch needs to be changed. The second filter is a ventilation filter.
The filter inside the Suprasorb
device against oversuction and contamination.
Should the internal filter become blocked, the Suprasorb
reprocessed by the L&R service centre or an L&R authorised service partner.
The activated charcoal filter in the container prevents the development of odours.

2.5 Gelling agent

The exudate drained into the exudate pouch thickens within a few minutes due to the
gelling agent contained in the exudate pouch. To avoid leaks – for example, when changing
the exudate pouch – the tube clamp on the exudate pouch tube should be closed off.
The exudate pouch incl. exudate pouch tube and tube clamp is intended
for single use only.
