Risk of injury due to rotating parts!
Parts that are ejected from the unit can cause injury to limbs during the functional inspection.
> Prior to the visual inspection, deactivate the unit and secure it against being activated again.
> Prior to the functional inspection, a visual inspection of forgotten, loose parts must be carried out.
> If the piping comes loose, the unit must not be operated.
> In case of inspections which require fan operation, ensure that all necessary safety devices (piping, unit door)
are installed.
A pressure measurement connector must be mounted to each connector or each ventilation duct (approx. 20 cm
after unit connection) for adjustment by means of pressure measurement. The pressure hoses must be installed in an
accessible location.
The supply air and extract air openings should be fitted with adjustable elements or valves (accessories) for adjusting
the system. If contaminated extract air is extracted, a filter (accessories) must be connected upstream. For hygiene
reasons and due to the fire risk, extractor hoods must not be connected to the duct system. In order to ensure the air
circulation within the living space, sufficient overflow openings (door gaps, door ventilation grilles) must be provided.
The operating characteristics of the unit are shown in the following characteristic curve (see Fig. 30). The flow rate
depending on static pressure is specified in the characteristic curve. The operating point is the point where the system
characteristic curve intersects the fan characteristic curve. The volume flow set in the system can be read on the hori-
zontal axis.
