Assembly

The units can be installed in any position (outside Fig . 1) - vertically and horizontally - with the supply air outlet to
the top, bottom or side .
Abb . 1
Assembly is not permitted in the pictured position!
Ensure easy accessibility for filter cleaning/replacement and servicing. When installing under suspended ceilings, provide an
inspection opening in the size of the casing cover.
- For the prevention of structure-borne sound transmission
a.) to building sections: Fasten ALB by means of dampening rubber elements.
b.) to the duct system: Make intake and discharge connections using flexible connectors (pipe clamp connectors
Type BM).
- Depending on the positioning (cold or warm zone)
the piping system must be thermally insulated as follows to prevent the formation of condensation and heat losses:
With regard to positioning
a.) in warm environment: Insulation of intake piping (outside air) - (formation of condensation outside).
b.) in cold environment: Insulation of discharge piping (supply air) - (heat losses, possible condensation inside).
The ALB casing is sufficiently insulated (with 30mm thick mineral wool packing).

m WARNING
The heavy cover can knock into you or crush your fingers!
Wear safety gloves, do not stand in the opening area of the cover when opening!
The unit is delivered as a complete unit as standard, i.e. ready for connection.
After the removal of packaging and the start of installation, the following points must be checked:
– is there any transport damage
– broken or bent parts
– The unit is fastened via four L-shape installation profiles, which are connected to the unit casing. The unit can be
installed in all positions permitted in Fig. 2. Ensure good accessibility for filter changes/replacement and service.
– The unit can be directly installed in the duct/piping. If required, the structure-borne sound transmission can be coun-
teracted by using vibration dampers and canvas connection pieces (see accessories).
– There is a sufficiently long, straight section of pipe (500 mm) before and after the unit to prevent performance reduc-
tion and an increase in sound.
– The casing must not be deformed or warped during installation, the unit must only be installed on sufficiently solid
and stable subsurfaces with suitable fastening materials (weight specifications on the ventilation unit).
– Sufficient backflow depending on the fan used must be ensured! If applicable, observe instructions in DIN 1946-6.
When installing under suspended ceilings, there must be an inspection flap in the size of the casing cover .
