5. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

5.1 MOUNTING THE BICYCLE RACK

• The bicycle rack must first be assembled. Take all of the components out of the packaging and set them out clearly. Check the scope of delivery. Every stage
is described and clearly shows which components are required for the assembly of the rack.
The carrier and base are joined to make a single unit
Carrier
Plate
Unlock the swing frame by releasing the catches on the front and side. To do this, pull the bolts of the catches out fully and rotate by 90° to prevent them from
engaging again. Fold the swing frame down. First screw the base to the pre-mounted carrier by placing the plate with the securing bolt holder and two rests for
the swing frame from the inside up against the exterior carrier. Guide the screw M8 x 50 from the inside to the outside through the plate and the outer frame.
Fit the base from the outside onto the screws. Place the washers 8 mm, spring washers 8 mm and nuts M8 on the screws. Before tightening the screws up, fold
the swing frame back and secure it using the two securing bolts. Now tighten the screws.
Then check both securing bolts to make sure that they engage correctly.

5.1.1 MOUNTING THE U-BRACKET

U-bracket
Now place the U-bracket on the intended pipe sleeves. Push the lock screws M8 x 60 from the outside, through the drilled holes of the U-bracket and the pipe
sleeves. Place the washers 8 mm and knob nuts M8 on the ends of the screws and tighten the knob nuts firmly.
5.1.2 MOUNTING THE LAMP MOUNTS
Lamp mount, left
Slide the pre-assembled lamp mounts into the square pipe of the swing frame. Make sure that the lamp mount with the rear driving light is on the right side.
The lamp mounts may be adjusted to the width of the vehicle. For vehicles with a width in excess of 1740 mm (see number 19, of the motor vehicle registration
certificate part I) mount the lamp mounts in the outer position. For vehicles narrower than 1740 mm, use the inner hole distance. Now insert the lock screws
M6 x 30 through the drilled holes. Place the washer 8 mm and nuts M6 on the ends of the screws. Do not tighten the nuts yet. Turn the toggle screws on the top
of the square pipe of the swing frame to tighten. Then tighten the nuts.
