• Uneven surfaces or other factors may prevent smaller metallic objects from
being detected in non-metal detection mode. If this occurs, switch to metal
detection mode to find these objects. Refer to "Detecting non-metallic objects"
for details.
• Always exercise caution when nailing, cutting or drilling into walls, floors and
ceilings, as the detected sizes and depths are not absolutely guaranteed and
may deviate from the actual conditions in the material.
Calibrating in metal detection mode

• To calibrate, press the on/off (2) button to switch on the device.
• Then press the metal/AC voltage detection button (3) to switch to metal
detection mode.
• Keep the device in a free space without interfering objects or electromagnetic
fields. If the device still detects metal, it must be calibrated.
• To calibrate after this short calibration test, press and hold the metal/AC voltage
detection button (3) while holding the device in front of you in the empty room
away from any kind of interfering metal or wooden objects and magnetic fields,
until the LCD display (10) shows the empty/free space symbol. This indicates
that the device was successfully calibrated.
