Switching on the
appliance
Insert the enclosed battery into the battery

compartment 5 (Fig. 2).
Place the scales on a level, hard and dry
D
surface.
Initialise the scales by briefly pressing the
D
middle of the weighing platform.
oooo is indicated on display. Then scales auto
matically switch off. The scales is ready to use.
Two functions can be selected with these
scales:
- Weighing function only
- Measurement of weight, body fat and body
water, recommendation of daily calorific
intake as well as specification of the bone
and muscle mass (by inputting personal
details).

Step onto the scales and stand still until the
D
bar graph on the display stops moving.
Distribute your weight evenly on both legs.
The measurement can now be read off in kg/g.
The scales automatically switch off for a couple
of seconds after the measuring process. Befo
re the scales switch off, the bar graph is dis
played briefly.
Inputting personal data
Do not use these scales during pregnancy.
Persons with medical implants such as a
pacemaker should use the weighing function
only .
To measure the body fat and body water
content, muscle and bone mass, you must first
input your personal details.
The scales have 10 memory locations where
personal details such as height, activity level
(AL), age, sex and mode (Normal/Athlete) are
input.
Note: If no button is pressed for approx.
15 sec. during programming, the scales switch
off automatically. If the + / - button is held
down, the numerical sequence is accelerated.
