Successive displays on display 1
- the body fat content as % and weight in kg,
- the body water content as % and weight
in kg,
- the current weight in kg as well as an
approximate value for the daily calorific
intake to maintain this weight (PC Present
Calorie is displayed instead of age),
- the optimum weight in kg as well as an
approximate value for the daily calorific
intake to maintain this weight (OC Optimum
Calorie is displayed instead of age).
Note: The scales determine an approximate
value for the optimum weight and the associat
ed calorific number based on the input and
calculated data (age, height, body fat, activity
level, ...) in order to maintain this weight.
To determine the ideal personal calorific intake,
we recommend that you consult your doctor
or nutritionist,

for approx. 4 seconds each.
Note: The bar graph at the bottom of the
display indicates the graphical analysis
allocated to the particular measurement.

How does body fat
measurement function?
Body fat is measured according to the BIA
principle (bioelectrical impedance analysis). The
appliance transmits a weak, harmless electrical
signal through the body.
The resistance (impedance), i.e. the signal
which the body resists, is measured. The
resistance is affected by the composition of
the human body. Muscles and organs contain
water and are therefore good conductors.
Fat resists the signal and is therefore a poor
conductor.
The body fat percentage is calculated from this
measured resistance taking into account the
data (size, age, sex) which was input into the
scales.
The body fat content varies greatly from
person to person. Therefore, only approximate
values are indicated in the following table.

Important: The measurements are only
an indication of long term changes. You are
not replacing medical observation or
consultation. For more detailed information
on the meaning of the body fat content,
body water content as well as bone mass
and muscle mass and the values ideal for
you, please consult your GP.
