Preparation

Familiarise yourself with the operating

the first time.

The locking button (5) on the auxili-
ary handle unlocks/locks the angle
adjustment of the auxiliary handle
(15).

Assembly

 WARNING! Risk of injury due to
unintentional start-up. Do not in-
sert the rechargeable battery into the
device until the device is fully pre-
pared for use.
Fitting the centre piece
Procedure (Fig. A)
1. Place the centre piece (7) on the
motor head (8).
2. Place the handle part (6) on the
centre piece (7).
3. Screw the centre piece (7) tight
with the 4 screws (21).
Fitting the auxiliary handle
Procedure (Fig. A)
1. Press and hold the locking but-
ton (5) on the auxiliary handle (15)
while sliding the auxiliary handle
onto the holder for the auxiliary
handle (14).
Fitting the protective cover
Procedure (Fig. B)
1. Place the protective cover (9) on
the motor head (8).
2. Screw the protective cover on
tightly with the two screws (22).

Device settings

Adjusting the auxiliary handle
You can move the auxiliary handle
(15) to different positions. Adjust the
auxiliary handle so that the spool cap
(12) is tilted slightly forward as you
work (see Cutting grass, p. 29).
Procedure (Fig. C.1)
1. Press the locking button (5) on the
auxiliary handle (15).
2. Adjust the auxiliary handle (15) to
the desired position. The integ-
rated latching steps prevent the
handle changing position uninten-
tionally.
Adjusting the spacer
The spacer (plant protection) (13)
keeps plants and stems that are not
to be cut away from the cutting unit.
Procedure (Fig. C.2)
1. Fold the spacer (13) down.
2. Fold the spacer (13) up (resting
position) when it is not needed.
Extending the cutting line
The device is equipped with a fully
automatic line tracker . The line ex-
tends automatically every time the
device is switched on. For proper
functioning of the automatic line ex-
