MODEL SYSTEM V
- Indoor use
- Altitude up to 2000m
**The grid must be earthed and the centrifuge must
be connected to it.
***It is authorised for use in domestic establishments,
under the jurisdiction of a medical professional.
ACCESSORIES:
No accessories have been designed for the centrifuge.
CAUTION: Use only the rotor and the tube holder
contained in the centrifuge. To guarantee the safety
of the user, the rotation frequency has been limited
to 1902 rpm.
SPARE PARTS:
To be able to supply original spare parts, you must indi-
cate the code or description of the component and the
serial no. of the centrifuge.
CAUTION: BTI shall not be held responsible for da-
mage that may be caused by non-original spare
parts. Only use original spare parts.
RS2.5 PORT:
The unit has an RS232 interface on the rear panel of the
unit for exclusive use by BTI technical staff. Do not con-
nect any other unit to this Port.
SECTION III: OPERATION
To be able to begin work with the centrifuge, first you
must familiarise yourself with it and with each one of its
components, in particular the control panel, from which
you can access all the menu options.

Loading and balancing the rotor:
Check that nothing has fallen into the chamber (clips,
stoppers, etc.) before loading the rotor. Once you have
made these checks, load the rotor and balance it correctly,
taking into account the following instructions:
- Use BTI tubes with the same volume of 9 ml. NE-
VER use the centrifuge with other tubes even if
they are of the same volume.
- The tubes must hold their complete volume (they
must be full). Place the tubes in opposing positions
inside the tube holder, maintaining a geometrically
symmetrical layout.
- Use a tube filled with water if you are one tube
short to complete a geometrically symmetrical la-
yout. Symmetrical loading is achieved by tracing
an imaginary line between any tube and the one
opposite, passing through the axis of the rotor. See
Photo.
- Be sure to correctly close the lids of the tube hol-
ders before starting centrifugation, as these may
cause it to be off balance.
If you do not follow these rules and fail to load the cen-
trifuge correctly, there will be excessive vibration, which
will cancel the operation command. The corresponding
message will appear on the display and/or the result of
the centrifugation will not be as expected.
