SECTION I: INSTALLATION
Instructions for correct installation of the centrifuge at its
workstation.
LOCATION:
The surface where the centrifuge is going to be placed
must be solid enough to avoid vibrations, taking into ac-
count that the weight of the centrifuge is 16.62 kg. Leave
a safety distance of at least 30 cm at the front and 30 cm at
the sides and rear. Within this safety distance there must
not be any devices, walls, panels or any other objects or
obstacles. Thus the operator's safety and good air circula-
tion can be ensured. The table or worktop on which the
centrifuge is placed must have access to a mains socket,
at a maximum distance of 1 m. This mains supply must
have the characteristics required for the centrifuge to
work correctly. See section. "2.2 Technical characteristics".

medical devices
POWER SUPPLY:
The mains connector is located at the rear, and compri-
ses the master switch and the fuse box. Before connec-
ting the mains cable to the unit, check the power supply
values (voltage, frequency, etc.) are correct. You can find
these values on the characteristics label next to the ma-
ins connector or in section 2.2. The power supply must
be earthed and the centrifuge must be connected to this.
INSPECTION/INSTALLATION:
Inspect the overall condition of the packaging, if you ob-
serve any deterioration (it is wet or broken) contact your
distributor.
Once you have opened the packaging, remove the mains
cable, the centrifuge, a bag with the user manual, the de-
claration of conformity and a couple of fuses.
DANGER: Take care when transporting the centrifu-
ge, as it weighs 16.62 kg. Incorrect handling during
transport could physically harm the person trans-
porting it and/or damage the unit.
CAUTION: To transport the centrifuge, pick it up by
the lower part of the casing. Holding the centrifuge
by other part could damage some components of
the unit.
- Once the centrifuge has been unpacked, place in its
workplace. Ensure the safety distance are suitable in ac-
cordance with section 1.1 and that the legs of the centri-
fuge are all resting on the work surface. The thread of the
legs must protrude as little as possible from the base and
the nut must be screwed upward, next to the base, the
rubber must not be bent. See Photo.
