INTRODUCTION
PRECAUTIONS:
To be able to maintain the operator's safety and en-
sure the centrifuge works perfectly, carefully follow
the notes below, as well as all the warnings in this
manual.
BIOLOGICAL RISK
The PRGF SYSTEM centrifuge model SYSTEM V is desig-
ned for use with the Technique of Obtaining Plasma Rich
in Growth Factors, therefore its use entails the handling of
blood fractions.
If you have to process blood from patients with infectious
pathologies, you must be informed of the possible conta-
mination and the danger that handling it entails.
Take the necessary precautions and use suitable decon-
taminating products, to protect yourself from contamina-
tion.
For greater safety, the centrifuge has a biological seal
device, made up of the tube holder assembly of the her-
metically sealed rotor, which prevents leakage of material
and the dispersion of particles and aerosols.
The biological seals and their components are intended
to be part of a biosafety system, as specified in the natio-
nal and international biosafety indications. An important
guide to biosafety can be obtained in the Laboratory Bio-
safety Manual, edited by the World Health Organisation.
It is also necessary to comply with the current regulations
related to exposure to biological agents.
Do not exceed the maximum values of the rotor, as this
could lead to its failure.
Do not use the centrifuge if the rotor is not balanced. En-
sure the rotor is loaded symmetrically, according to the
specifications in this manual in point 3.2.1. Loading the

tube holder incorrectly can damage the motor assembly
of the centrifuge or cause other damage.
Make sure you always place the safety seals on the tubes
before starting centrifugation.
Do not lean on the unit or place objects on it while it is
functioning.
DANGER If the centrifuge is used in a way other than that specified
by BTI, its protection cannot be guaranteed, and it may
be damaged.
SECURITY:
This unit, like any electronic equipment, is a potential
source of electromagnetic radiation. It meets the requi-
rements for electromagnetic compatibility, emission and
immunity for electrical equipment for measurement,
control and use in laboratories. (IEC 61326-1).
In any event, you must evaluate the electromagnetic en-
vironment before starting up the unit.
Check the centrifuge's power supply requirements, so
that it is not connected to an unsuitable source.
Use only the rotor and tube holder contained in the
centrifuge.
For better conservation of the centrifuge, carefully
follow the instructions in this manual.

CAUTION: Children, pregnancy and lactation: There
are no additional preventive measures other than
those generally considered for PRGF-ENDORET®
technology. However, these particular situations
should be considered by the clinician before its
application.
CAUTION: Do not start up the centrifuge near sou-
rces of strong electromagnetic radiation (for exam-
ple, unshielded intentional RF sources), as they may
interfere with the proper operation of the centrifuge.
