2. Check the threads in the frame.
→ The threads must be intact and free from impurities and carbon fibres.
3. Attach the mudguard to the mount behind the bottom bracket and the mounting sleeves (8) to the seat stays.
Tighten the mounting bolts by hand. For the Backroad Aluminium, use the hole you have drilled before.
4. Mark the position of the hole in the seat stay bridge as accurately as possible with a permanent marker.
5. Remove the mudguard and check the marking you have just applied.
→ The marking must be exactly in the centre of the mudguard.

6. Centre-punch the spot and pre-drill with a small drill first. Then drill a hole with a diameter of 5.5 mm in the
centre of the mudguard.
7. Refit the mudguard to the bike at the three attachment points (bottom bracket area, dropouts, seat stay bridge).
Tighten the screws with the following torque:
→ Mount at the bottom bracket: 4 Nm
→ Dropouts: 2 Nm
→ Seat stay bridge: 4 Nm
8. Tighten the rear bolt of the rack to a torque of 4 Nm (D).
9. Check the mudguard for a tight and secure fit.
10. Mount the rear wheel and check the clearance.
→ The mudguard must not touch the wheel or tyre.
→ All parts must have a minimum distance of 10 mm to the tyre. Small foreign bodies must not cause the
