Fitting the mudguard to the bike

1. Remove the front wheel.
2. Check the threads in the fork.
→ The threads must be intact and free from impurities and carbon fibres.
3. Attach the mudguard to the mount at the fork of your Backroad and tighten the mounting bolts to a torque of 2
Nm (A).
4. Install the struts at the fork and tighten the mountings bolts to a torque of 2 Nm (B).
5. Check the mudguard for a tight and secure fit.
6. Mount the front wheel and check its clearance.
→ The mudguard must not touch the wheel or tyre.
→ All parts must have a minimum distance of 10 mm to the tyre. Small foreign bodies must not cause the
wheel to lock.
