Safety
DANGER
Risk of accident due to improper installation or handling of the rear rack and the mudguards!
• The maximum load of the rear rack amounts to 8 kg per side and may not be exceeded!
• The rear rack and the mudguards must not be modified or altered in any way.
• Do not exceed the bicycle's maximum load of 110 kg.
• Do not attach child bike seats or trailers to the rack.
• A loaded rear rack may change the steering and braking characteristics of your bike.
• Additional accessories for the rack must be attached according to the manufacturer's instructions.
• Luggage must be positioned in such a way that the visibility of the tail light and reflectors is not affected.
• Distribute weight evenly on both sides of the rack.
• There must be a minimum clearance of 10 mm between the upper edge of the tyre and the lower edge of the
mudguard to prevent foreign bodies from getting stuck.
• All components such as bags must be removed before transporting the bike on a car (or other transport vehicle)!
• If in doubt, please consult a qualified bicycle mechanic.
DANGER
Risk of accident due to using screws with a wrong length!
If screws of the wrong length are used, threads can be damaged and attachments can suddenly fail under load!
• This mudguard set comes with mounting bolts for three different bike models.
• Make sure to use the mounting bolts that are suitable for your bike model.
• You will find information on the suitable mounting bolts in this manual.
• Tightening torques must be observed.
• Check the torque value of the mounting bolts every 3 months.

General information
Please read this manual carefully before using the mudguards for the first time and make sure you understand everything.
Keep this manual for future reference.
If you sell or give away your mudguards, please also include the owner's manual.
2.1
Compatibility
The mudguards are exclusively designed for mounting on a ROSE Backroad, Backroad AL, and Backroad+.
The mudguards may be used with a maximum tyre width of 40 mm.
2.2
Required tools
Drill, twist drill 2 mm / 5.5 mm, centre punch
Torque wrench (2 - 6 Nm)
Hex wrench 3 mm / 4 mm
Star wrench T20 / T25
Open-ended spanner 7 mm / 8 mm
