All BML sensor heads with the DRIVE-CLiQ interface have
a unique Node Identifier. This ID is generated from certain
parameters and from the sequential numbers of the serial
numbers of the sensor head and used during DRIVE-CLiQ
communication to identify the device.

Node ID
Encoder serial number
The encoder serial number is another parameter that can
be used to identify the BML sensor heads via the DRIVE-
CLiQ interface. This ID can be read by the sensor head
and is generated from part of the node ID and from the
identification serial number of the sensor head.
The generated encoder serial number has the following
