18 Machine configuration
This menu can be used to adjust the
i
machine configuration and query vari-
ous information.
 Call up the secondary parameters by pressing
button 40.
 Call-up the machine configuration menu by
pressing button 40 for 2 sec.
 Set the desired menu point by rotating the con-
trol knob 19.
‰ A description of the menu points is provided in
chapter .
‰ The current value is shown in the bottom line.
 Confirm the menu point by pressing operating
button 19.
 The value is shown in the bottom line in invert-
ed form and can be changed by turning control
knob 19.
‰ Alternatively, a selection list is shown.
 Store the change by pressing control knob 19.
 Pressing button 37 or 40 terminates the change
without saving or terminates a menu level.
Powermaster LED lock
This function is used to lock the "Mode" button
at the i-LTG/i-LTW series torch. Pressing the Mode
button for 2 sec. unlocks this button for 15 sec.
The "Mode" button will immediately be locked
when the start/stop button is pressed during
these 15 sec.
Torch protect
When an i-LTG/i-LTW series torch is used, only
one welding current with max. torch capacity can
be set at the welding unit.
Setting the torch ID
Each torch in the i-LTG/i-LTW has a specific torch
identification number. This torch ID is coupled to
the load capacity of the torch, which is required
for the torch protection function in the TIG oper-
ating mode.
‰ Setting the torch ID is, for example, required
when the torch PC board is exchanged
 Select the Torch point in the configuration
menu.

 Select the "Set burner ID" menu point.
‰ The currently selected torch ID is shown.
 Select the appropriate ID for the torch accord-
ing to the following table and transfer it to the
torch module by pressing the control knob 19.
