Connecting the vacuum cleaner properly

❐ Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts.
The socket must also be readily accessible after the device has been connected. The mains
voltage must correspond to the technical data of the device (see section "Technical data").
Only use proper extension cords, whose technical data corresponds to that of the device.
❐ Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not allow
the cord to hang over the edge of a table or kitchen worktop. Someone could catch
him/herself and pull down the device.
❐ Lay the connector cable such that it is not crushed or kinked and such that it does not
come into contact with hot surfaces!

Proper use

❐ Only use the device in enclosed areas. Do not use it outdoors or in rooms with high hu-
midity.
❐ Check the device for damages prior to each use. If the device, cord or plug exhibit
visible damages, the device may not be used. Do not attempt to replace parts or repair the
product yourself. In the event of damage, contact customer service.
❐ Do not use the device if it malfunctions, has vacuumed up liquids or objects or has fallen
down. Have the device inspected by a professional or contact customer service.
❐ Only use the device if it has been completely and correctly assembled! The dust bin and
fi lter must be in place. The dust bin must be shut in order for it to be inserted properly.
❐ Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids in order to avoid electrical shocks.
❐ Never touch the device, the cord or the plug with wet hands.
❐ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperatures,
open fl ames, direct sunlight, moisture or liquids.
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ Never place heavy objects on the device.
❐ Do not vacuum up any liquids and do not fi ll the dust bin with liquids.
❐ Do not insert anything in the device's openings/nozzles and ensure that they are not
plugged.
❐ Never leave the device running when unattended.
❐ Immediately turn the device off by pulling the mains plug out of the socket
– if you stop using the device for a short period of time,
– if you are fi nished using the device,
– before you change the nozzles,
– if an error or fault occurs during operation,
– if liquids or foreign debris have penetrated the device,
– before a storm,
– before you clean the device and accessories.
