Do not open the steam valve with the steam wand
immersed in milk and the machine switched off, as
the latter would suck milk into the pipes.
• Pour the milk into the jug.
• Immerse the steam nozzle into the liquid to be heated.
• Rotate the valve knob counter-clockwise.
• The quantity of steam dispensed will be proportional to
the opening of the valve.
• To stop dispensing, turn the valve's knob clockwise.
To keep the steam nozzle tips in perfect working
order, it is advisable to perform a brief dry dispens-
ing run after each use. Keep the tips clean at all
times using a cloth dampened in lukewarm water. Only leave
the steam nozzle immersed in the milk for the time needed
to heat it.

• Rotate the valve knob counter-clockwise.

4.9 Cup warmer

For safety reasons, we do not recommend placing
cloths or other objects on the cup warmer surface
in order to prevent the machine from overheating.
HIGH TEMPERATURE HAZARD: the cup warmer
can reach temperatures that may cause burns. Be
very careful.
The cup warmer temperature cannot be adjusted. This sur-
face is heated by induction from the heat generated by the
boiler below.
Place the hot cups or demitasses so that they can be used
when dispensing coffee.

General instructions

A few simple cleaning tasks are required to have a perfectly
sanitised and efficient appliance. The instructions provided
here apply when the machine is being used on a regular ba-
sis. If the machine is used continuously, cleaning should be
performed more frequently.
Do not use alkaline cleaners, solvents, alcohol or
aggressive substances. The products/cleaners used
must be suitable for this purpose and not corrode
the water circuit elements.
Do not use abrasive cleaners which may scratch the body-
work's surface.
Always use clean and sanitised cloths when cleaning.
When washing the filters, filter holders and all the machine
components, use Manufacturer-supplied cleaners or specific
products for cleaning coffee machines.
Clean the unit with the decalcifying pads as indi-
cated in paragraph."5.2.3 Washing the dispensing
unit" on page 27.
Attention: do not wash the drip collection tray and
grilles in the dishwasher.
