8 Delivery and unpacking
8.1 Delivery
Upon delivery, check whether the package contents delivery match the delivery note, the order and the
order confirmation. Immediately notify Festo Didactic of any discrepancies.
8.2 Unpacking
To unpack the Robotino 4.0, remove the rigid foam insert from the shipping container.
When removing the Robotino 4.0, make sure that no parts are damaged. Always hold the Robotino by the
two handles to avoid damaging the control unit, the electronics and the collision avoidance sensor.
After unpacking, inspect the Robotino for any damage. The freight forwarder and Festo Didactic must be
notified of any damage without delay.
9 Commissioning
Please follow these instructions for commissioning your Robotino 4.0.
1. Charging
The Festool rechargeable battery packs are delivered partially charged. Remove the Festool charger
from the packaging and fully charge the supplied rechargeable battery packs to ensure full
performance. The rechargeable batteries are charged outside of Robotino 4.0 so that Robotino 4.0 can
remain mobile at all times.
