Controlled emergency descent

The electromagnetic operating brake automatically closes when UP or DOWN travelling button is released or when the power fails.
When lowering the TSAE by activating the controlled descent in case of power failure, a centrifugal brake controls and limits the
descent speed.
Risk of falling! Risk of injury from falling objects!
You are only allowed to lower the hoist in manual mode in an emergency.
The hoist must always be tested by Tractel or a hoist workshop that has been trained and certified by Tractel after a
controlled emergency descent.
Exception:
* daily test of the electromagnetic brake;
* emergency descent from the ultimate limit switch;
* emergency descent over a distance shorter than 20 m.
Risk of falling! Risk of injury from falling objects!
The centrifugal brake might not brake the load in case of overloading!
In the event of overloading, never open the operating brake (spring-loaded brake) manually.
The centrifugal brake prevents rope speeds that are too high when lowering manually.
