The telephone network voltage may be hazardous.
Put the telephone dialler in test mode. Take a remote control or, if you do not have one, ask one
of your friends or a member of your family to stand by the keypad. Stand next to the telephone
dialler, raise the aerial guide and remove the screw cover logo using a flat-headed screwdriver.
Loosen the 2 screws and hold the dialler flat against the wall.
Press the OFF key on your remote control or ask the person standing next to the keypad to enter the
OFF command on the keypad. Once the OFF order has been given, move the telephone dialler
away from the wall within 3 seconds. The telephone dialler issues the voice message
If the telephone dialler is triggered, gently press the OFF key on your remote control for four
seconds or ask the person next to the keypad to enter the OFF command. Once removed from
the wall and given the OFF order the telephone dialler switches to test mode.
When hand-held the telephone dialler is in test mode. Do not be surprised if you hear it beeping
or crackling.
After choosing its new location (over 5 m away from the control panel, a siren or a control
receiver), fix the telephone dialler in place. The telephone dialler then switches from test mode to
normal operating mode.
Reconnect the dialler to the telephone line.
Check the numbers in the memory:
if the numbers are those of your friends and family, have them announced (see chapter 8.5),
if the numbers are those of a remote monitoring centre, make a test call (see chapter 10.1).
Your telephone dialler is again ready to operate.
