Guarantee sticker

Remove the pre-cut part of the guarantee sticker on the back of the telephone dialler and stick it to
the guarantee extension application form.
If you are adding equipment to your system, use the guarantee extension application
form provided with this manual.
Recommendations
When these products are opened their internal components may be damaged by electrostatic dis-
charge. The following precautions must therefore be taken during maintenance or repair operations:
do not touch the electronic components or metal parts of their connections either directly or with
a metal tool,
use non-magnetic tools,
discharge any static electricity in your clothes by touching a bare metallic surface such as a
water pipe or earthed electrical devices before accessing the internal components,
avoid moving around when accessing the internal components several times during the same
operation to avoid electrostatic charge build-up. Otherwise, apply the precautions above every
time you need to access the components.
4.3

Inserting the batteries

Open the battery access flap using a screw-
driver.
Connect the telephone cable supplied (RJ11
connector).
Pull out the battery connector and connect
the first battery making sure it is the right
way round. The telephone dialler responds
by emitting the voice message
Connect the other 5 batteries.
Put the battery connector back into its slot as
shown. Your telephone dialler is now
in "test" mode (anti-tamper mechanism
released). Don't be surprised if you hear
crackling and BEEP's. This will stop once
your telephone dialler has been fixed to the
wall (anti-tamper pin pressed in).
Make sure you do not press on the anti-tam-
per pin during the next operations so that
your telephone dialler remains in test mode.
