9 Troubleshooting

9.1 Identifying and repairing faults

WARNING!
– Only personnel having received the necessary instruction or training by Invacare must perform service and
maintenance on the product.
Symptoms
Patient lift feels loose.
Casters/Brakes noisy or stiff.
Noisy or dry sound from pivots.
Electric actuator fails to lift or legs fail to
open when button is pressed.

Faults
Mast/Base joint loose.
Tie - Rods are loose.
Fluff or debris in bearings.
Needs lubrication.
Hand-control or actuator connector
loose.
Battery low.
RED emergency stop button pressed IN.
Battery not connected properly to
control box.
Solution
Refer to Assembling the Mast to the
Base in the Setup section.
Contact your Dealer or Invacare
representative.
Clean casters from fluff and debris.
Refer to Lubricating the Lift in the
Maintenance section.
Connect hand control or actuator
connector. Ensure connectors are seated
properly and fully connected.
Charge batteries. Refer to Charging the
battery in the Usage section.
Rotate RED emergency stop button
CLOCKWISE until it pops out.
Reconnect the battery to the control
box. Refer to Charging the battery in the
Usage section.
