If a general overhaul has been carried out then the period com-
mences anew.
A general overhaul of the hoist must only to be undertaken by
TRACTEL Greifzug GmbH or a hoisting gear workshop that has
been approved by TRACTEL Greifzug GmbH.
Contact TRACTEL Greifzug GmbH or your supplier with regards
to this test.
Exceptional tests
After an emergency descent, the hoist must always be tested in
manual mode by TRACTEL Greifzug GmbH or a hoisting gear
workshop that has been authorized by TRACTEL Greifzug
GmbH (see ' 10.3 Emergency descent' on page 16).
Any damaged or worn part found must always be replaced.

15.3 Reading the running hours counter

The running hours counter is located in the hoist's terminal box.
The running hours counter counts the time in which the hoist is in
operation as running hours (UPWARD or DOWNWARD move-
ments).

Danger of death due to electric shock!
Disconnect the hoist from the power supply by pulling out
the plug.
Pull out the power plug.
Open the terminal box.
Read the running hours counter:
Note the running hours in the logbook.
Close the terminal box.

Brush the dirt off soiled ropes when dry if necessary. Re-lubricate
as necessary.
Use the brush attachments to clean the rope at the hoist in an
extremely dirty environment.
